Shot of the Proto CTX on snow..

Reviews: Upcoming Season

0

So I’ve decided the everyday binder this season will be the Union Force SL. I’ll do a side by side comparison of my thoughts of both the Union force SL from this season, and the Rome Targa I rode last season. To keep things fresh in my mind, I’ll also ride Targas this season as well, just not as an everyday binder. I’ve wanted to spend a bit of time on the SL’s and finally will do that this season. I haven’t settled on an everyday board, but expect reviews from Jones, Yes, Capita, and more. Have any of you started working out how you may tweak your setup for this upcoming season at all? Always enjoy hearing about what others are thinking, or doing with their rides.

Review: 11-12 Never Summer Proto CTX 158

Now that we’re all into the swing of summer up here in the northern hemisphere, and I’ve finished moving into my new place etc.  I can start dedicating more time to the site again.  I’ve had the notes on this review for quite a bit now, and finally found the time to get it out.  Better late then never eh?

By now, everyone has heard of or seen a Never Summer Proto CTX.    Looking at the Proto CTX, one can imagine the love child of the Never Summer Legacy, and Revolver.  In the past I’ve heard people mention “they wished there was a board in between the Legacy and Revolver” they could ride, because that’d be the sweet spot yeah!  I’ve been riding the Legacy for as long as I can remember, and it’s the one board I try to actually buy a model of each year (kind of a tradition thing) since it was my first NS board, and still one of my all time favorites.    Never Summer has taken a few design steps in a new direction this year, including the addition of the Carbonium tech on a board outside of the Heritage and Raptor, as well as blunted tips, and a slight tweak to the effective edge on the Proto CTX.

Capita Black Snowboard of Death

Review: ’10-’11 CAPITA Black Snowboard of Death

It seems that I can’t escape the fate that becomes me.  I’ve always loved the Black Snowboard of Death from Capita, and I was especially stoked on this years 10th anniversary edition model.   Capita made a change or two to the longest running board in their lineup to celebrate 10 awesome years of cranking out eye popping designs, and quality boards.  I’ve waited a while to actually write this review, because I really wanted to get some time in on this beast before chatting about it.  Having spent quite a bit of time on the board in various conditions, I feel it’s finally time to chat..   So shall we begin?
