Thoughts: Double was cool, but Triple is so much better!
0So we were all raving about the Double Cork. It was the trick to have in your bag at the olympics, and at virtually all contests this past late season. While impressive still. Torstein Horgmo has just busted out with a Triple Cork.. yeah.. WTF right? It’s caught on video, and looks gnarly as all get out..

Progression is happening at such a rapid pace, I’m curious as to when the Quad Cork is gonna be revealed. I’m sure someone is trying to figure that out as I type this.. Ahh snowboarding.. never a dull moment. Massive props out to Torstein, this is just sick!
I Ride 4 Kevin…
0Snowboarding is something I love for numerous reasons, probably too many to list out here. Unfortunately accidents can and do happen, even while taking precautions and wearing protective gear. Kevin Pearce suffered some nasty head trauma during a pipe session a few weeks back . For me snowboarding means many things, one of them being family, so when a rider suffers an injury, especially head trauma, my heart and prayers go out to them. Recovery from traumatic injuries can take time, as any one who’s experienced one knows. As riders we tend to rally around and support/defend our sport with a ferocity not seen in any other sport except perhaps surfing/skating. This among many other things make me proud to ride a snowboard. There is a page setup at facebook where you can show Kevin some support , while getting updates on his status. It’s going to be a hard road, he’s taking to recovery, but he’s not alone. He’s surrounded by his family, his friends, fellow riders, and fans world wide, all pulling for him.
For the people who don’t really understand snowboarding, perhaps this is the time for you to really look at this sport. This is not just kids spinning in the air and making park laps. This is friends, family, riders, and fans, who are progressing, and actively making something happen. This is a chance for people to make something out of nothing, to create, to imagine, to connect, to support, and to love what we do!

Local: High Life Video Premier
0Just got home from meeting up with the crew at the High Life video premier here in Denver Co. It was awesome to meet up with everyone, grab a beer or two, and enjoy some righteous flicks. All in all the videos were solid, and have some insanely great parts. I’m not quite sure if the rap group who entertained us in between flicks was my scene, but some of the beats did get me moving. If you get a chance, check out Echodemic, and High Life, as both videos show some local talent!
