This past weekend 720 Boardshop hosted it’s annual “Rock The Railbender” skate competition and festival in Parker CO. If you’re not familiar with it, essentially it’s a collective festival, put together by 720 Boardshop, The Chris Klug foundation and more, hosting Skate competitions, live music, food, and fun.

Not only is the event completely free, but there are copious free prizes, and giveaways done through-out the day.  Competitions included a Bowl competition, four block, mani pad, and five stair downrails.   This was my first year attending, and helping with the event.  I was stoked to see the number of kids who showed up to show off their skills, and just hang out with everyone.  The atmosphere is really a relaxed good time for everyone, and no attitude is allowed.   I spent most of the day out taking photos of various events going on, and watching the competitions.     There really is a lot of talent at local skate parks, and it’s truly awesome to watch!

I snapped this photo of Tucker Dunn, an awesome rider, and 720 Boardshop Team rider.  He just dominated the C-Wall all day at the park!

The event truly is fun, and includes great live music from bands including Random Hero, Underdone and others, who can be seen on MTV, and the Warped Tour respectively.  I really enjoyed the day, and if you missed the event on June 19th, don’t fret, they have another event coming up on July 24th!  If you can make it out to the July event, it’s really a good time to be had.  For more information on the event, check out  the site here or stop by 720 Boardshop at either the Parker, or South Glenn locations to get more info!
