REVIEW: 09-10 GNU Park Pickle 156W
I've heard numerous people tell me how much they enjoy the GNU Park Pickle. I decided to take the board out myself and give it a spin. I picked up a 156W Pickle on the advice of a good friend. The Pickle is one of the Transworld Good Wood winners for boards over $400, and also has a Platinum Pick Design Award from Snowboard Magazine.
Some may hate him, others like him.. but I think everyone respects him..
I'm talking about Mr. Shaun White. Living in Colorado, we've all heard of his secret halfpipe in Silverton where he practiced some of the mad tricks he's been throwing lately. We also know there was a foam pit, and honestly who cares? I'd have a foam pit too, if I was trying to throw anything half as gnarly as Mr. White. Regardless.. Redbull has released the information, and video pertaining to the Mr Whites' secret pipe. You can view the pipe in all it's glory at http://www.redbullprojectx.com/ It's pretty sick!!

Thoughts: The importance of proper boot fit (especially for the bigger rider)
Often times, and rightfully so, people are drawn to various boots due to design, color, graphics, or something else aesthetically please. It's pretty much human nature to admire pretty, shiny, hip things. So do you then choose the boot that fits properly and perhaps isn't what you want, or go for the boot that looks insanely great, but is a tighter fit? The answer really should be the better fit. No matter how good you look in a pair of boots, if your feet are cramping, or perhaps you're having nasty heel lift, your riding day is probably not going to be fun. In fact you'll probably stop early, and go sit down for beers or something.
