I've heard that about prior model Cinch bindings, but I've never ridden them. Perhaps this year I'll see if I can give em a spin, and crank out some thoughts on them. Some of the Flow bindings can be heavy, but honestly my NXT-FS bindings are slighly lighter than my Union Force DLX bindings.

Cheers for the response. I think I might have to give them a go.

I've got a pair of the first generation cinch's. quite liked them but they are bloody heavy and you can't actually wrench the high back up without loosening the the straps first... so they're a bit quicker than the norm..but not a lot.

Rob,
Flow's are definitely a stiffer binding in some regards. There is a love hate relationship with flow definitely. They are usually a bit heavier than other bindings, and require a bit more setup. The uni-strap tends to throw people off, even if they've never ridden it. If you don't set them up properly, the bindings do ride weird, so setup is critical to getting proper response out of the binding. Once you do get them setup though, you're good to go, just slap your foot in, slap up the highback and ride out.. I'm going to be posting a review using a pair of Union DLX bindings along with a pair of FLOW NXT FSEs or ATs this season, using the same board, and same runs, to compare exactly how response differs etc. K2 also has something similar to flow called the Cinch, but I have yet to ride those.

Hi JT,

Great review again.

Never ridden flow but always liked the idea of them, though i've been put off by people saying that they lack responsiveness. Doesn't sound like you've experienced this problem, any idea why peeps say this?

Cheers,
