Sometimes it’s hard to find a boot that fits right, or perhaps even comes close to fitting on some bigger people. Perhaps you have a wide foot, and don’t like the tight feeling of your boots? Perhaps you want just a lil extra room? Enter Salomon, one of the few companies who actually make wide snowboard boots in this industry.

Lauren, so graciously pointed out a configuration issue, that wouldn’t allow her to leave comments. It appears there was a login box that popped-up when you attempted to leave a comment, asking for usernames and passwords. My apologies to anyone who wanted to leave a comment, and ran into this issue. It should currently be resolved.
Doh.. growing pains I tell you!

I stopped by the grand opening of the new 720 board shop location here in Denver (South Glenn Mall) yesterday. First things first, if you live in the Denver area including suburbs, and you need gear, you’d be insane not to hit up the 720! The selection is sick, and the peeps there rock hard as well. In fact, there really shouldn’t be any other place you need to go for good gear, and great prices. Upon hanging out with the crew, I noticed the new Lib Tech Skunk Ape sitting in the back. I was stoked to finally check it out.

The board looks amazing, and feels like it’s built insanely well. Sizing goes up to 190 on the bad boy, which is pretty awesome for uber big riders. Even with the size of the board, Lib Tech seems to have figured out a good size/weight balance. I’ll be picking one up soon, and you’ll defnitely be seeing a review of this board coming up. I’m stoked to take it out and give it a spin, although I will say, don’t expect to be slamming through tight tree runs, unless you plan on taking out the trees with you.
More to come, and for more info right now, check out: Skunk Apes and if you live in the Denver area, head down to South Glenn Mall (University & Arapahoe) and hit up 720 Boardshop. They are throwing down with some skate games and more tonight and Saturday.

I’m wonder what jacket, if any to pickup as my main riding jacket this season, and as usual with bigger sizing, the charts are all over the place. I’m curious how many people have similiar issues with jackets fitting, but not fitting properly all around? Either the jacket is too long, and the sleeves are short, the chest is put together weird and doesn’t let you move enough, etc. Any thoughts on this?
Figured I’d put this out there as I continue to look at all the new outerwear coming out and scope out sizing for potenial reviews.

I rode the Flow NXT FS bindings on multiple boards through out this past season. The conditions ranged from powder days to slushy groomers. This was my first year ever spending a good amount of time on the NXT FS bindings, and quite honestly I found that I really really like them.

Ok boys and girls, so going back through my pile of demo gear and sorting out things, I’ve decided to get rid of a few things. I generally just pass things out to friends etc, but figured I could give away something on the site. I’ll be posting more info shortly on how you can win the bindings, again they’ll be size XL, since this site is geared at bigger riders.
Stay tuned..

In the world of snowboarding, it’s all too easy to get lost, completely lost, in the verbage spouted out, and printed. If you’re confused on the meanings of a few things, have no fear! We’ll discuss a few terms here today to get you caught up, and “in the know” with what you’re looking at when it comes to snowboards.
