Bern & Smith Helmet Updates

In my never ending quest to find gear for bigger riders, I’ve come across larger sizes from both Smith, and Bern respectively.  Bern presently has four helmets available in XXL (60.5-62) and two helmets available in XXXL (62-63.5)  The helmets break out as follows:

All of the mens helmets are available in the XL (59-60.5) size as well.

Smith Optics has

Holt                  XL (60-62)

Something of interest to note, each manufacturer has their own sizing specs.  Even between helmets, sizing specs change, most often due to shapes etc.   The Smith Holt for example comes in an XL size, which is considered to be within the L size range of the Venue.    Your best bet is to go out and find these helmets to try them on.    I have a Smith Holt XL helmet on the way to check out sizing etc.   I’m working on finding something from Bern.    Stay tuned..
